President Biden warns of a upcoming food shortage during a press conference at the Nato Headquarters.
“The price of the sanctions is not just imposed upon Russia. It’s imposed upon an awful lot of countries as well. Including European countries and our country as well,” continued Biden. “And because both Russia and Ukraine have been the breadbasket of Europe in terms of wheat, for example, just give one example.”
Pres. Biden warns that food shortages are “going to be real,” saying the U.S. is working with European partners to end trade limitations on sending food abroad to help alleviate supply issues caused by Russian sanctions. https://t.co/GPN1kQDMMj pic.twitter.com/0nuN0LMfve— ABC News Politics (@ABCPolitics) March 24, 2022
First, the food shortage and supply chain issues were just conspiracy theories. Now it is very real, according to Biden. But of course, conveniently, the Russia Ukraine conflict has given the Biden administration a cover and the ability to shift the blame of every economic problem that we face.
Before the Russia/Ukraine conflict, there were already empty shelves in grocery stores. The hashtag “empty shelves Joe” had become a popular meme at the end of 2021. But as we can see, the Democratic strategy is to scream, “Russia Russia Russia!” for next two years or however long Biden is able to remain in office.
